Bass player John Schatt,  has been surrounded by music all his life. From his father's love of opera, jazz and classical music to his older cousin's rock band, John has sampled music in all its variations. Starting out on piano at age six, he moved on to trumpet before settling in on bass. Along the way, he's done rock and roll retail, booked bands, hosted more than his share of open mics and even drove an ice-cream truck to support his love of music.

When California and Hawaii called, John packed up and left Central PA. He toured the USA and the Far East while backing up major artists, including two Grammy Award winners, and he's no stranger to NCO clubs. An unfortunate death in his family brought John back to Central PA where he's well known in Lancaster for his support of local artists and live music. With his wife's encouragement, John continues to do what he loves best: talk story and play bass.
